Why Science is So Hard For People

Hey Born, I like to argue in this way: I call it:
The Argument Against the Trinity From Multiple Minds.
1.) A Mind is associated with one being
2.) The Trinity is told to be one being consisting of Jesus, Yahweh and The Holy Spirit.
3.) At least, Jesus and God have their own minds.
4.) The Trinity cannot be one being.
:)
Help find holes in this please. Thanks.

Hello Reggie!

As far as I can see your argument holds up ok, but you'll need to careful of the definitions you use. (See be

Political Correctness v.s. Intellectual Honesty

Also, how come it's always the white males who are "intellectually honest?" You don't see women coming out and being "intellectually honest" about not having as a gender an aptitude for X where X is any behaviour that doesn't involve hammering out babies and making you a sammich.
You don't see any asians standing up and saying "This is a hard truth, but Chinese people suck at driving! Don't deny it in the name of political correctness!"

Yeah. As Cygnus said earlier, I don't like it when I'm told what to do, so it really pisses me off when people throw out implications that society might be better if I just did what I'm told.
I think that if you're going to have kids you'd better be willing to raise them--don't bother bringing them into the world if you're going to fob it off on someone else. I know a lot of women who do a wonderful job as mothers and employees and to say that they would serve their family better by sitting aro

Something I wonder about, not totally unlike this question, is...

How much control should people be given over other autonomous people just because of birth and age? It seems like children are mostly thought of as property, which are then extended the same personal “rights” as others in our society once they reach a certain arbitrary age. I’m not totally comfortable with this paradigm.

Mmm Hmm. They've been using the same old argument from analogy for ID for 150 years. It doesn't even work.
Greyfax and others seem to have missed the economics course. If you want other people do things on your schedule, you generally need to pay them. If they are giving something to you for free, they get to decide when and where.

It's all these GIMME GIMME GIMME people who get uptight if things aren't coming on their schedule. I listen to a number of other free podcasts. If something happens to their schedule, I don't go around complaining. I might ask to find out what's going on, but they

Wacky Creationist Arguments

I recently heard some weird arguments for creationism from one of my classmates. Seriously, this is some crazy stuff. I thought I had heard it all, but apparently I haven't. These are their arguments:

1.) Ice ages never happened. Never mind all the old glacial valleys covering North America, the ice cores, or any of that. The 2nd law of thermodynamics says the ice age can't have happened (warmth cannot instantly leave an object) because they found mamoths that froze while they were grazing. F

How'd you do that?

I've heard some of these attacks before, but none have ever been directed at me.

Hahaha... I bet you "were never actually a Christian

This was probably even true of me. I believed all the dogma once upon a time, but I never really lived the message. Once I became atheist, I didn't notice a real change (except that I became interested in philosophy). So I would consider this a complement. I shutter to think I ever was a Chris

This is a huge challenge
I'm assuming Regie wants to run it on his web server without bogging down every thing else.
So we need to be modest in our goals. At least for version 1. And especially if you want something you can use in months instead of years.

I was thinking it would be closer to a souped up spam filter with a built in auto responder than an artificial general intelligence.
For future versions, Who knows..
